Bruce and Erin Wilson's son Jay is living with moderate to severe Autism. They worried about what would happen if Jay wandered off. He may not be able to communicate with whoever found him. In looking for a way to keep him safe, they came up with a simple but ingenious idea. ID tags that could be placed on shoes, or backpacks, or worn as bracelets. The tags come in the form of QR codes, which contained all the information to get Jay home safely. From that idea came ifineedhelp.org, a non profit which now helps families with autism all over the world. Bruce and Erin told Michaela their story.
