Young Marines stay true to mission during pandemic

With Stay at Home orders in place a group of youth continue their leadership training through the Southland Young Marines.

Everyone else on Zoom they are doing their drills and meetings online. If it’s a Saturday you’ll see them staying on mission with a goal of staying drug-free and becoming “good citizens.”

They are part of a national organization with youth starting as young as eight years old and going through high school.

As part of their charitable giving they sent pizzas and coffee to those on the front lines during the coronavirus pandemic.

Southland Young Marines “had the honor of meeting and talking to Pearl Harbor Survivors this past December.”
