Two men sought by police after Laguna Hills hotel robbed at gunpoint

Two men were being sought by police after a boutique hotel in Laguna Hills was robbed at gunpoint, authorities said.

The armed robbery was reported around 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Hills Hotel, located at 25205 La Paz Road.

Two white men entered the hotel lobby and demanded money from the front desk, one armed with a handgun and the other with a knife, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Hills Hotel Manager Niloufar Dupray was working at the time of the incident.

"I was working at the front desk and then the guests came in," Dupray said. "I saw them. One of them had a cover on the face with a big gun, and then the other one had a white bag, and they said, 'Give me everything.'"

Dupray has worked at the hotel for seven years and said this was the first time something like this has happened.

"He said give me everything, otherwise I'm going to shoot you.' I just gave him everything," she said.

Authorities say the suspects fled on foot, getting away with approximately $1,000.

Police were reviewing the hotel's security footage Wednesday for further clues.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
