Subway Suspends Relationship With Spokesman Jared Fogle After Raid At Home

If you've watched any TV in this country over the past 15 years, you no doubt know who ''Jared" is. He's the seemingly jolly Midwesterner who gained fame and fortune for losing more than 200 pounds eating (he says) mostly Subway sandwiches and exercising.

Until today, Subway had embraced him as a pitchman and a success story. Remember the photo of him holding up his gigantic old pants? He even started an organization called The Jared Foundation (JaredFoundation.org) dedicated to raising awareness about childhood obesity.

Well, today Jared's world was turned upside down. The Feds raided his large suburban Indianapolis home as part of what has been widely-reported as a child pornography investigation. Fogle, now 37 and reportedly rich due to his ad campaign, said nothing as he left his house mobbed by media. An attorney simply said he's cooperating with the investigation and hasn't been arrested or charged with any crime.

Subway said they were ''shocked'' about the news and believe it's related to an investigation of the former executive director of the Jared Foundation, a man named Russell Taylor, who was arrested this past May. As is their custom, the Feds have said little to nothing, but they were seen taking electronics out of Fogle's home. Whatever happens, Subway says they have ''suspended'' their relationship for now.
