Several people were almost hurt and a car pushed onto a busy street in Hollywood over the weekend. This happened when a woman drove her car in their direction after an altercation about parking.
At night, Sugar Coat Innovation car repair shop’s parking lot becomes a popular spot to get tacos.
The business closes at 6 p.m. and rents out it’s parking lot to two taco trucks that attract dozens of customers.
“We know the name of the game is you come here you wait it gets really packed,” said Marian Sarkisian who was there ordering food with her friends.
“Sometimes you have to wait for other people to finish eating.”
Patrons, including Pierre Balian, said it wasn’t uncommon to get blocked in by other cars.
“There’s no street parking around the light where the street light is and the intersection is weird.”
But they said they wouldn’t do what a woman caught on security camera did.
After an argument, she was seen on Sugar Coat Innovation’s security camera ramming her Mercedes-Benz into a Ford Mustang near Western Avenue and Lexington Avenue.
The woman stopped at the stand, ordered tacos and ate them in her car. – got some tacos and ate them in her car.
After eating, she started up her car in an effort to leave. Since she was blocked in, she hopped out of her car and approached a group of people eating around the Mustang.
She appeared to ask a man and his friends to move so she could back out.
The conversation appeared to escalate when a woman with the group began recording the argument on her cellphone.
They began fighting, but a few men stepped in to break it up.
At that moment, she got back into the car and put it in reverse.
The crowd slowly moved away.
She rammed into the Mustang several times until it was pushed entirely into the street. “The tacos here are really good. It’s never really that wild. That’s kind of an off-chance that it kind of happened to be like that,” Balian continued.
“But she looks crazy. Look at her!”
According to workers at the auto shop who knew the woman, she works late hours and was likely just agitated.
“If you don’t show her the respect, she’s going to show you why to respect her. Well I don’t know her personally, but that’s what I heard,” said Sugar Coat Co-owner, Juan Munoz.
The video also showed the driver hit another parked car and the Mustang scrape a van waiting at the red light.
Employees at the auto shop tell FOX 11 that police had not been back to take a report.
