Rapper known as 'Kid Cali' gunned down at pool party
GRANADA HILLS, Calif. (FOX 11 - The man killed in a shooting at a Porter Ranch pool party was a 30-year-old rapper well-known in the Los Angeles area.
The victim was Justin Lishey, professionally known as Kid Cali or CaliOSo, according to media reports. The coroner has yet to confirm the identity.
"RIP Kid Cali,'' said singer Chris Brown on Twitter. "Rest well young g,'' commented Snoop Dogg.
Two other men in their 20s were wounded and are expected to survive, police said.
Shots were fired at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 12400 block of Longacre Avenue, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the LAPD's Media Relations Section. That location is just south of Sesnon Boulevard.
The suspect ran into the surrounding area, a wealthy section of hillside homes overlooking the San Fernando Valley.
