Preschoolers steal mom's car to go visit grandma's house
(FOX 11) - Two preschoolers determined to go see their grandma stole the keys to their mom's SUV and attempted to drive to her house, police said.
A 5-year-old and 3-year-old in Washington State started the vehicle parked in the driveway and drove through a nearby intersection before crashing into a second car, according to the Federal Way Police Department.
The police department posted photos of the damage to its Facebook page.
The children were uninjured, witnesses told KOMO. The driver of the second car suffered cuts and bruises.
"[It sounded] like and explosion went off -- something, we really don't know. So I ran out and I saw it," Annemarie Warren, who lives nearby, told KOMO-TV. "I knew it was our neighbor's car, but I did not know she wasn't in the car. Only the two little ones."
Authorities did not say whether the parents of the children would face any charges.
