Police seeking 2 men involved in off-campus burglary of UCLA students

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects who took $4,500 worth of property from UCLA students in a reported off-campus burglary.

The UCLA Police Department said the burglary happened sometime between 2 and 8 a.m. on March 18 at an off-campus residence in the 600 block of Landfair Avenue.

Officers responded at 9:10 a.m. after a victim reported that an "unknown suspect entered her apartment during the night." The residents, who are UCLA students, did not see the suspects, police said.

Detectives said a further investigation revealed two male suspects entered the apartment and stole approximately $4,500 worth of property.

The students were not injured.

Both suspects were described as Middle Eastern or Hispanic men, around 25-years-old, between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 150 to 160 pounds.

One of the men had a dark beard and mustache, was wearing a red hoodie, black skull cap and black sweatpants with yellow stripes, police said.

The other was seen with dark hair in a bun, a dark beard and has tattoos on the left side of his neck. Police said he was wearing a black baseball cap with a red "S" on the front, a black and yellow M&M logo jacket, green pants and yellow fanny pack.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the UCLA Police Department Detective Unit at 310-825-1491.
