Midday Sunday: The victims and responders of 9/11

By Tony Valdez

Fourteen years after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, Midday Sunday pays tribute to the victims and the responders.

Sunday's program begins with Bradley Burlingame. His brother Charles piloted American Airlines 77, the jetliner that was crashed by terrorists into The Pentagon. Burlingame recalls that day and all those that have followed as he copes with his brother's loss.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain Carlo Lofreddo and Firefighter Specialist Kevin Halverson volunteered to go to New York City to help at the World Trade Center. They talked about how the experience changed their lives.

Burlingame is the President and CEO of Visit West Hollywood.

Information about the Los Angeles County Fire Department is available at fire.lacounty.gov.
