Man killed in possible gang-related shooting in East LA: police
LOS ANGELES - A man was killed in what police believe was a gang-related shooting in East Los Angeles early Monday morning, authorities said.
The deadly shooting occurred in the 900 block of South Duncan Avenue at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard around 1:20 a.m., Deputy Michelle Sanchez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call. Arriving deputies found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital where he died, sheriff’s officials said.
A detailed description of the suspect was not available.
