Little boy found in Santa Clarita, tip from citizen helps locate boy's parents

A little boy was found riding a scooter unattended in Canyon Country Thursday afternoon and authorities sought the public's help locating his parents.

The boy was found near Lost Canyon Rd. and Soledad Canyon Rd. in Santa Clarita around 1 p.m. Thursday. He told deputies his first name was Nicholas but he didn’t know his last name.

The boy is believed to be around three or four years of age. He is white, has blonde hair, hazel colored eyes and was wearing an orange long sleeve shirt with jean shorts.

After the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station posted about the child on their social media channels, a citizen tip helped deputies locate one of the boy's parents.
