LA's Most Wanted: 1997 shooting death of Lamont Finley
(FOX 11) - Lamont Finley was a 21-year-old young man completely devoted to his family. He managed the family's dry cleaning business, and he helped his mother with her foster children.
Lamont was particularly proud of his Oldsmobile Cutlass with its custom wheels. He enjoyed showing it off, especially on Crenshaw Boulevard where many other young men brought their cars to be admired.
On April 5, 1997, there was a dispute of some kind which led to a car chase. At Crenshaw and 57th Street, a man fired two shots at Lamont which killed him.
Despite the fact that there were hundreds of people on Crenshaw Boulevard that night, no one has been willing to talk with detectives about what they saw.
Anyone with information about the murder of Lamont Finley can share what they know, safely and anonymously, by calling LAPD at (323) 786-5113 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
