LA residents in joy as access to beaches and trails reopen

You could hear the ooh’s and ahhh’s from the Foothills to the coastline in Los Angeles, as the city relaxed some of its Stay at Home orders, opening beaches and trails.

It’s the first weekend, since Mayor Garcetti’s order was somewhat relaxed. Safe distancing and masks are still required, but no one is complaining.

Some of the hard core mountain riders and hikers say they can’t wear masks while exercising, but you may want to keep it in your pocket.

We did not see citations being written, but plenty of park rangers and LAPD officers were giving verbal warnings.

Keep in mind, parking lots are not open, and finding a bathroom that is maintained might be difficult, so plan for it.

Otherwise, take a look at our story on this first weekend of LA City beaches and trails opening, and enjoy!
