It's your 50th anniversary, Charlie Brown!

This is the 50th anniversary, Charlie Brown! A Charlie Brown Christmas is celebrating a milestone this year: 50 years of broadcasts that began in December of 1965.

The iconic show was written by Charles Schulz, who, through Charlie Brown, had hoped to focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

Since it first aired, the show has become a holiday staple. The 50th anniversary broadcast special called "It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown" will be hosted by Kristen Bell and include musical performances celebrating the show's anniversary, all of which will be followed by the show itself.

ABC currently owns the broadcasting rights. The special will air on Nov. 30 and again Dec. 24.
