Investigation underway after 2 stabbed in Pomona

Two people were stabbed Saturday in Pomona, leaving both in serious condition, authorities said.

Officers responded around 1:45 p.m.to the 1400 block of East Mission Boulevard and found two victims, identified as an adult male and female, with stab wounds in the upper torso, the Pomona Police Department said.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital and listed in serious condition, police said.

A male suspect with "numerous tattoos" was seen fleeing on foot just prior to officers arriving on scene, according to police.

Mission Boulevard between South Reservoir Street and South East End Avenue was closed for the investigation.
