Fans camp out for special screening of 'Solo'

HOLLYWOOD, CA (FOX 11) - It's almost time to board the Millennium Falcon...almost! One of the most anticipated films of the year; Solo: A Star Wars Story is Ready to land in movie theaters nationwide! Some fans are waiting until the weekend, but there are some FANATICS are having a Star Wars slumber party on Hollywood Blvd.!

These fans are braving the cold weather (60 degrees) for FUN while they patiently wait for the first public screening at 7:00 pm Thursday night at the TCL theaters on Hollywood Blvd. Don't worry though, these fans stick together and keep each other safe while they sleep, and Lightsabers are included-of course!

This slumber party isn't all fun and games, these Star Wars fans are giving back to children in need through the Starlight Children's Foundation. The charity helps children and their families who are hospitalized by providing joy, comfort, and support. Co-Founder of LiningUp.Net, Peter Genovese, shares more on the history of these events with us.
