Dr. Lucy Jones spoke to FOX 11 just moments after a 4.6 magnitude earthquake hit Friday afternoon. Dr. Jones says another bigger earthquake could hit in the coming days.

A preliminary 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit near the California-Mexico border Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey

The quake hit around 5:17 a.m. and was centered southeast of Ocotillo Wells in San Diego County. 

It had a recorded depth of nearly seven miles.

According to the quake map released by the USGS, people as far north as Banning in Riverside County and those further to the south near Sonora in Mexico felt the shaking,
