Winslow Township, NJ (WTXF) A 5-year-old from Winslow Township, New Jersey, is a one boy kindness machine. He saved up his allowance to buy his local police department lunch and that's just the beginning.

Five-year-old William Evertz Jr. wanted his heroes to eat healthy so he bought them Subway as part of a day of kindness.

"I helped my mom feed the ducks and chickens," William said, explaining the chores he did to raise the money.

He worked hard at his chores so he could spread cheer to others, and his mother says he told her he wanted the officers to rest so they could protect the town. The whole department dug in hungry and impressed.

"He wants to be a police officer. We look forward to people who want to fill our spots when we retire," said Winslow Police Department Lt. Christopher Dubler.

William also plans to donate clothes, school supplies, and toys to a domestic violence shelter, food and supplies to a local animal shelter, and $25 to a less fortunate family to assist with daycare expenses.

Police made William an honorary officer and gave him a special shirt and badges, and he even got a ride home in a police car with lights and the siren.
