Authorities investigating murder-suicide in Glendale

Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide in Glendale after the bodies of two men were found at separate locations early Wednesday morning.

Police say the two men were twin brothers.

Glendale Police officers responded to the Northwoods Village complex around 3:30 a.m. after receiving a call stating that someone needed medical assistance. When officers arrived, they located the body of David Cervantes, 60, in one of the apartments. Investigators say that the door of the apartment was open when they arrived.

Less than an hour later, a man's body was found on the westbound 134 Freeway just east of Harvey Drive. Authorities believe that the man, later identified as 60-year-old Carl Cervantes, took his own life by jumping from the overpass onto the Harvey Drive offramp in an apparent suicide.

The offramp and the far right lane of the westbound 134 Freeway were closed as police investigated.
