Climate Week: USC's Aquaculture Lab
This is USC's expansive 60,000 square foot aquaculture lab, where they are growing kelp, seaweed and more. This is right next door to Holdfast Aquaculture, which is growing mussels and creating locally sourced mussel seed for the entire Pacific Southwest. One of their offshoots, called "AltaSeads Conservancy," is developing into the world's leading organization in kelp restoration, breeding, farming, and education. They are the largest holder of ocean biodiversity outside of Korea.
