Third night of protests in Downtown L.A. over police shootings

Protesters marched through downtown Los Angeles Wednesday night, rallying against police brutality and the shooing of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and the shooting deaths of two protesters and the wounding of another during demonstrations in that city.

Los Angeles County begins program to combat acts of hate

Responding to what officials called increased acts of hate in recent years, most notably against Asian-Americans due to the coronavirus pandemic, Los Angeles County Wednesday announced a campaign aimed at encouraging reporting of such incidents and responding to them.

Unlawful assembly declared at Monday's DTLA protest

A protest march and rally held in downtown Los Angeles Monday night against two police shootings in the past 10 days, including Jacob Blake in Wisconsin, was declared an unlawful assembly by police. However, no arrests were reported.
