Woman, three young girls critically injured in collision on 110 freeway

Three young girls and a 27-year-old woman were critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the southbound Harbor 110 Freeway.

Two other children and one adult sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. Wednesday near the Santa Monica (10) Freeway and downtown Los Angeles, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Three girls, ages eight months, 3 and 6 years old, and a 27-year-old woman were taken to a hospital with critical injuries, Stewart said.

An 11-month-old girl, 10-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman sustained non-life threatening injuries and were also taken to a hospital.

Two other patients were treated at the scene but declined to be taken to a hospital, Stewart said.
