Westmont man with dementia, 78, still missing

Sheriff's officials continued their search on Sunday for a 78-year-old man with dementia who went missing more than two weeks ago in the unincorporated Westmont area of Los Angeles County.

James Thomas Wilson was last seen about 11 a.m. on Sept. 24. He lives in the 10000 block of South Vermont Avenue, near Century Boulevard, according Deputy Edmo Luna of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Information Bureau.

Wilson is black, 6-feet tall, weighs 220 pounds and has short black hair, gray facial hair and brown eyes. He uses glasses and was wearing a dark shirt and pants when last seen.

Anyone with information that could reunite Wilson with his worried family was urged to call the sheriff's Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
