A traveler confronted an apartment building receptionist in Tampa, Florida, after she allegedly ate his DoorDash order while he was asleep.

What they're saying:

Wendell Smallwood told Storyful he ordered the meal while staying at The Mav "after a long day of traveling."

"Unfortunately, I accidentally fell asleep while waiting for my order," Smallwood said.

"Approximately two hours later, I woke up and noticed that DoorDash had marked my order as delivered, along with a delivery confirmation photo. I went downstairs to retrieve my food, but when I arrived at the location shown in the photo, it was nowhere to be found," Smallwood said.

Smallwood said he searched a nearby break room and saw a front-desk worker eating what appeared to be his order. He recorded the confrontation.

"I ordered Mexican food, and you ate it, right?" Smallwood asks in the footage.

"I admit it’s what I did. I understand. I do apologize, and I’m really sorry," the receptionist says.

Dig deeper:

The two appear to agree that the receptionist would reimburse Smallwood for the order through Cash App.

Storyful said it contacted The Mav for comment but had not received a response at the time of publication.
