Taxi driver killed in multi-vehicle West Hollywood crash
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (FOX 11/ CNS) - A taxi cab driver was killed Saturday in a three-vehicle crash in West Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
The fatal crash, in which alcohol is believed to be a factor, was reported at 1:39 a.m. on La Brea Avenue near Fountain Avenue.
The driver of a red Hyundai was traveling southbound on La Brea Avenue and failed to stop at a red light, according to Sgt. Enrique Mandujan of the West Hollywood Sheriff Station.
The Hyundai collided with a taxi cab and an Uber vehicle, Mandujan said. The taxi cab driver died at the scene.
The injuries of the others involved in the accident weren't immediately available.
The driver of the Hyundai was detained pending a felony DUI.
