Suspected DUI driver in custody after lengthy chase across LA, Orange counties

A suspected reckless DUI driver is in handcuffs after leading authorities on a chase across parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties Wednesday night.

LOS ANGELES - A suspected reckless DUI driver is in handcuffs after leading authorities on a chase across parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties Wednesday night.

SkyFOX was initially over East Los Angeles when the silver Audi was leading Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on a pursuit around 11 p.m.

As the lengthy pursuit continued, the California Highway Patrol took over the chase as the suspect drove past East Los Angeles neighborhood and then parts of Orange County.

The driver eventually ditched the Audi in the Long Beach area and began running on foot. Officers were eventually able to tackle and take the suspect in custody.
