Road rage incident leads to arrest, multiple firearms recovered at suspect's Long Beach home

Long Beach Police have arrested a man who they say displayed a gun during a road rage incident Friday.

Jacob Trantham, 29, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited person owning ammunition, and exhibiting a firearm and a probation violation.

The incident happened on May 30th at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and East Anaheim Street around 12:45 p.m. Police were called to the scene after the man brandished a firearm.

Officers soon identified the suspect and found out he was barred from possessing guns.

During a search of the two homes associated with him, officers found several firearms, firearm parts and several thousand rounds of ammunition, police say,

Trantham was taken into custody and is being held without bail.
