Kittens dumped at park in Orange near partially flooded riverbed, found inside zipped suitcase

Three kittens are still in search of forever homes after they were dumped near the partially-flooded riverbed of Hart Park in Orange last week.

Kaitlyn Potts found a Homeland Security box that had the word "evidence" on it at the park, located at 701 S Glassell Street in Orange. Inside the box, she discovered a duffel bag zipped shut with five kittens inside.

"They often close the riverbed during the rain due to flooding. People are so cruel," Potts wrote in a post on Facebook. "It’s one thing to abandon them, but to ZIP SHUT the suitcase they’re in?! In a flood zone!"

Potts took the kittens to her grandmother's home where they have been caring for them.

Two of the kittens were adopted, but Potts is still hoping to find homes for the remaining three.

Anyone who is interested in adopting one of the kittens can email her at Kbpotts315@yahoo.com.
