Savanna Graziano: California Amber Alert teen dies in shootout
A California teen at the center of an Amber Alert has died after she was caught in a shootout between the suspect and law enforcement.
VICTORVILLE, Calif. - A 15-year-old girl at the center of an Amber Alert was killed during a shootout between San Bernardino County deputies and her alleged kidnapping suspect on Tuesday afternoon. The suspect, the teen's father, was also killed after fleeing authorities following the fatal shooting of his wife in Fontana.

At 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, a citizen called sheriff's dispatch center reporting that they spotted the suspect's pickup truck. The suspect, Anthony Graziano, led authorities on a pursuit that began in the Barstow area. During a Tuesday afternoon press conference, San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus said that Graziano shot at deputies as he led them on a multiple jurisdiction pursuit.
The suspect's vehicle eventually became disabled on the 15 Freeway near Bear Valley Road in the Victorville/Hesperia area, officials said. When the vehicle came to rest, a girl in tactical gear exited the passenger side of the vehicle. The girl ran at deputies but collapsed on the way to the patrol vehicles. She was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. Dicus identified the girl as Savanna.

Kidnapping suspect killed following shootout with deputies in Victorville
A shootout ensued between Anthony Graziano and deputies. According to deputies, Graziano and the female passenger in his vehicle were struck by gunfire.
"This investigation is going to take at least 24 hours before we're able to provide you with more information as to what happened and exactly what the circumstances are as it relates to the officer-involved situation," Dicus told reporters. "But at this time, both Anthony Graziano and Savanna are deceased."

The shootout prompted the full closure of the southbound 15 Freeway at Main Street. This area is expected to remain closed for several hours as the investigation continues. Right now northbound I-15 is open, but there is a significant backup. Main Street remains closed in both directions from Mariposa Road to Key Pointe Drive until further notice, per the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

"There were shots, tons of shots," witness describes moments leading to deadly shootout involving Amber Alert suspect
A kidnapping suspect, at the center of an Amber Alert, was killed during a shootout with officers in San Bernardino County Tuesday. A witness described the scene and what she heard.
According to officials with the Fontana Police Department, Graziano was wanted for shooting and killing his daughter's mother during a domestic violence-related incident Monday morning. Police say the shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. at a home in the area of Cypress Avenue and Mallory Drive.
The woman was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the home. She was taken to a local hospital where she later died, police said.

Amber Alert issued for teen girl after deadly Fontana shooting
An Amber Alert is in effect after police say a man killed his wife and took his daughter.
Following the shooting, Fontana police said Graziano abducted his daughter, Savanna. Authorities were searching for a white 2017 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, which was later confirmed to be the truck pictured on the scene during the shootout Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol tweeted just after 11:30 a.m. that it had deactivated the Amber Alert for Savanna.
