Investigation underway after man shot dead in Maywood
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was shot dead Saturday morning in Maywood.
According to deputies the incident happened around 7:25 a.m. on the 5500 block of Gifford Ave.
Officers responded to the area after getting calls of an assault with a deadly weapon.
When deputies arrived on scene they located a 24-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Officials say the suspect fled the scene on foot. A motive for the shooting is not known, however, detectives believe it might be gang-related.
