Brush fire breaks out in Whittier

WHITTIER, Calif. - Los Angeles County Fire crews battled a 1-acre brush fire burning in heavy fuel in Whittier Monday afternoon.
The Durfee Fire broke out at about 3:26 p.m. in the area of N. Santa Anita Avenue and N. Durfee Road. No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
