Bomb threats at SoCal school

Bomb threats were reported at two schools in Southern California Tuesday. Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada-Flintridge and California High School in Whittier were evacuated after bomb threats, but both threats were deemed not credible.

Authorities were investigating bomb threats targeting two schools in Los Angeles County Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

An alleged threat was received at 11:25 a.m. targeting Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada Flintridge, authorities said. Deputies investigated the validity of the threat and located no suspicious devices. There is no active threat to the school.

In Whittier, authorities said a bomb threat was reported at California High School. Officials said the crisis helpline desk received an email just before 11 a.m. stating the high school would be "blown up in an hour."

The school was evacuated as a precaution, officials said. Authorities did not locate any suspicious devices on campus. The school resumed normal operations just before 2 p.m.

It's unclear if the two reported threats are related.
