Chamillionaire launches $100,000 competition for minority-founded startups

Chamillionaire is a Grammy award winning musician who is hailed around the world for his platinum selling album, The Sound of Revenge, which spawned the multi-platinum single "Ridin Dirty." More than a decade of success in the music industry has provided him with the entrepreneurial skills and business savvy that paved the way for his ascension into the tech industry. He has invested in more than a dozen tech companies including Maker Studios (acquired by Disney), Cruise (acquired by GM), and Lyft. To bring more awareness to a demographic of startup companies that have been historically underrepresented in the investment world, Chamillionaire, E40, and Republic.co, will be investing $100k in a minority or woman founded startup company, and "The Shark" Daymond John will be helping choose the best companies. The contest is being run through his app Convoz; a platform designed to “connect the world through collaborative conversations.”
