(FOX 11) - This week is extremely busy in Hollywood, because it's the week of The Oscars! But tonight on the same famous Boulevard outside of the famous El Capitan theater, was the world premiere of Disney's 'A Wrinkle In Time'.
The film stars: Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Storm Reid, Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis, and Bellamy Young. The film is also directed by Ava DuVernay, who also directed Selma.
"A Wrinkle In Time" is an epic adventure based on Madeleine L'Engle's timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. The film follows Meg Murry's (Storm Reid) journey.
Tonight, on the Blue carpet, I talked to them about their experience on set with such a stellar cast/Director and why NOW is the right time for a Wrinkle In Time.
Oprah said she initially did this film for Ava DuVernay, but that it became one of the best experiences of her life. Chris Pine was happy to be reunited with Reese Witherspoon again on-screen, and had the opportunity to meet/work with Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling. Watch out for young star, Deric McCabe, rumor has it that he steals the show (and the carpet!)
This film is a Science Fantasy like no other, and opens nationwide on March 9th, 2018.
