Possible threat against high school in Covina under investigation
COVINA. Calif. - A possible threat against Charter Oak High School in Covina will bring an increased police presence to the campus on Friday.
Covina police reported a "mentioned threat to take place" Friday on the campus of Charter Oak High School at 1430 E. Covina Blvd.
The possible threat is under investigation, police said.
Investigators are working with the sheriff's San Dimas Station and "together we will ensure the safety of all students and staff with an increase of officer presence (and) extra patrols," according to a Covina Police Department tweet.
Details about the threat were not immediately available.
