Several fires set in North Hollywood: LAFD
A person of interest was detained in connect with several intentionally set fires in North Hollywood Wednesday.
LOS ANGELES - Two people who allegedly started several fires on purpose in the North Hollywood area Wednesday morning are detained, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
One of those fires at an abandoned commercial building near 6200 N. Laurel Canyon Boulevard caused extensive damage. As flames engulfed the building, the roof partially collapsed and firefighters went into defensive mode. The fire was being mopped up as of 9:30 a.m.

Crews gain control of NoHo building fire
One alleged arson suspect has been arrested, authorities said.
A short time later, officials said a car fire was reported near Oxnard and Lankershim less than a mile away.
A pair of dumpster fires near Hatteras and Tujunga was also reported.
No injuries were reported in any of the fires, officials said.

Arson suspect detained in North Hollywood
FOX 11's Mario Ramirez is live with the latest details.
The LAFD fire captain told FOX 11 there were 8 fires in the area reported within an hour.
The LAPD said two people are detained in connection with the fires, but did not provide any further details.
