2 men steal equipment off fire truck during LA wildfires response

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - Officials in San Bernardino County are searching for two men who were caught on camera stealing equipment off a fire truck, as Southern California battles more than a dozen wildfires that have burned more than 50,000 acres.
The robbery happened around 3 a.m. on Jan. 7, in the parking lot of the Hilton Inn Express & Suites in Rancho Cucamonga. Security cameras captured a red Jeep Wrangler pulling into the parking lot near a fire engine from the San Bernardino National Forest.

Two men got out of the Jeep, officials said, busted open several compartments on the truck, and put "essential fire equipment" in their Jeep before driving off. Officials did not say what specific equipment was stolen.

Officials released photos of the two suspects and the Jeep.
