Tropical Storm Bertha makes second landfall
After making a second landfall on the Gulf Coast on Thursday, Tropical Storm Bertha brought heavy surf and minor flooding to southern Louisiana and Texas. The storm rapidly weakened into a tropical depression before dissipating by late evening, though the National Hurricane Center warned that high storm surges and tropical-storm-force wind gusts could still affect the upper Texas coast.
