CA car thefts drop for 2nd year in a row
Last year, CHP recovered nearly 18,000 vehicles. In 2025, 84% of all stolen vehicles were recovered by law enforcement in California, totaling 111,661 recovered vehicles, according to the Office of Gov. Gavin Newsom.
