The Transgender Community Reacts to Elliot Page coming out, Laverne Cox Attack

In the wake of two big news stories, actor Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page, coming out as transgender and non-binary as well as the attack on Laverne Cox in Griffith Park, Good Day LA assembled a panel of stakeholders in the LGBTQ community to discuss transgender identity. Mariana Marroquin and Cameron Varney from the Trans Wellness Center and Bamby Salcedo, president of the TransLatina Coalition joined Michaela Periera for a discussion about the courage to live your authentic life, and the dangers facing transgender women.
