A fire that started in Cherry Valley and is raging in the mountains within the San Bernardino National Forest has destroyed five structures, burned more than 26,850 acres and was 15 percent contained Tuesday morning after being sparked by a diesel vehicle emitting combustibles from its exhaust system.
