Jeff Friday shares why he created ABFF Honors
The Academy Awards are stirring controversy once again for the lack of diversity in its nomination pool. ABFF Honors is an awards show dedicated to saluting excellence in the motion picture and television industry for African-Americans. Jeff Friday, the founder of the American Black Film Festival, stopped by Good Day LA to open up about why he started the festival in the 1990s after seeing very little representation for people of color. The ceremony will take place on Feburary 23 from Beverly Hills.
