Over a thousand appointments made during FOX11 Blood Drive Telethon

The first ever FOX11 Blood Drive Telethon was a success! Over a thousand people called to make an appointment to donate blood with the Red Cross. When we started our telethon at 6 a.m. our goal was 500 appointments. By 5 p.m. we reached over 800 and astonishingly we ended the telethon at 6 p.m. with over a thousand appointments made. Big thank you to all Red Cross volunteers and for everyone in the community who called, made an appointment and donated.
