Lakers, fans react to death of NBA Commissioner David Stern

Few commissioners have cast the kind of shadow David Stern has across the sport of Basketball. From growing the league, to setting new rules, to deciding whether Magic Johnson could play after his dramatic HIV announcement. David Stern has left a great impact on so many. Stern died Wednesday at the age of 77. Stern suffered a brain hemorrhage on Dec. 12 and underwent emergency surgery. The league said he died with his wife, Dianne, and their family at his bedside.
