School Standouts: Special education teacher integrates mindfulness, yoga to benefit students
Cindy Weeks is a phenomenal special education teacher at Frank E. Woodruff Elementary School in the Bellflower Unified School District. Years ago, she was searching for practices that would benefit her students as they interacted with peers on the playground and in the classroom. She began implementing yoga sessions to teach focus and clarity through yoga poses and breathing techniques.
