DOJ Sues Orange County Registrar over voter records
The US Department of Justice is suing Orange County?s Registrar of Voters, Bob Page, claiming he held back unedited records of non-citizens removed from voter lists. The lawsuit says this breaks federal election laws and hurts voter trust. Page said his office shared the records but blacked out private information to follow state law. The DOJ said those edits block proper oversight. FOX 11?s Elex Michaelson spoke exclusively about the lawsuit with Harmeet Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the DOJ.
