Teen Girl Scout raises funds and designs a special "chill room" for kids on the spectrum at The Wiley Center
Good Day LA welcomed Dr. Pamela Wiley, Dr. Ashley Wiley Johnson and 17-year-old Abi Jovar to talk about the good work happening at The Wiley Center in Culver City to make sure autistic children get the education and support they need to thrive. Abi envisioned and designed "under the sea" additions to the sensory room at the Center, with bubble tubes and a friendly shark! Through Girl Scout cookie sales, collecting recyclables and doing chores, she helped raise the funds to make the improvements a reality.
