AGOURA HILLS, Calif. - The LA County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a murder-suicide in Agoura Hills, officials said Monday.
One of the victims is a local businesswoman.
It was 11:27 a.m. Saturday, July 18th, when deputies with the Malibu/Lost Hills Station responded to a welfare call in the 5200 block of Colodny Dr.
Deputies arrived at the home of 49-year-old Sherry Thomas to find Thomas and 57-year-old John Mann shot to death.
On Monday, the LA County Coroner’s Office confirmed their identities and reports Mann lived in Thousand Oaks.
Thomas’ Facebook page confirms she owned Blush Boutique, a clothing store with locations in Calabasas, Encino, and Thousand Oaks.
FOX 11 also found messages of condolences under Thomas’ most recent posts.
Those who knew her writing “Rest in peace” and “You will be missed.”
The LA County Sheriff’s Department reports a weapon was recovered at the scene and there are no outstanding suspects.
Investigators say Thomas and Mann were not married but had been romantically involved.
The preliminary investigation shows Mann shot Thomas before turning the gun on himself, according to investigators.
Mann and Thomas each leave behind two children.
