Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas fight: Two people injured in altercation on cruise ship

Two passengers were injured after a brawl occurred Monday night aboard the Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas cruise ship that returned to Port Miami on Monday night.

A Royal Caribbean spokesperson told WSVN-TV in Miami that adult guests were involved in a fight aboard the cruise ship, and they were treated for their injuries. 

Royal Caribbean did not share details about the altercation. WSVN reported that the two unidentified people were transported to local hospitals and later released.

A spokesperson for the Royal Caribbean Group provided a statement to WSVN-TV in Miami that stated the following: 

"Our team provided medical care to adult guests who were involved in an altercation onboard, and the guests are being treated for their injuries. We notified local authorities and are working closely with them. As this is an ongoing investigation, we have no more information to share at this time."

WPLG-TV in South Florida reported that a witness on the cruise ship spotted people running over to the pool and the children’s pool roped off before the ship’s captain referenced the return to the port to an injured guest who needed to be hospitalized.

According to CruiseMapper, the cruise ship is currently sailing a round-trip Bahamas cruise from Miami.
