3.2-magnitude earthquake strikes Valencia area
The earthquake struck near Santa Clarita on the morning of Feb. 14.
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - A preliminary 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Valencia area on Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The USGS says the quake was reported at 8:45 a.m. about six miles southwest of Santa Clarita's Valencia neighborhood.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. While there are many variables involved, geologists say damage does not usually occur until the earthquake magnitude reaches somewhere above 4 or 5.
